With Dead Space 3's release creeping close, more news on what the game will entail has surfaced. The news has came directly from Eurogamer's preview of the game, where Yara Khoury, the associate produced of Dead Space 3, had this to say: "You can buy resources with real money, but scavenger bots can also give you the currency that you can use on the marketplace."

Khoury then went on to explain how micro-transactions won't be available for the get-go in order to block the possibility of unfair advantages - which would spoil the games survival feel!

This announcement doesn't come as a shock to many Dead Space enthusiasts, as previous instalments in the series also featured micro-transactions that allowed you to boost your arsenal. With that said, it seems like Visceral, and EA for that matter, will put a great deal of emphasis on all of this to make a few extra bucks.

On a lighter note, anyone who has a Mass Effect 3 save on their console will gain access to Visceral's rendition of the coveted N7 armour. There's no news on when exactly this will become available during the game, but it's a nice touch from EA - although many people will see this a ploy from them to get people to pick up Mass Effect 3!

Dead Space 3 arrives on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on the 5th of February for the US and the 8th for the EU.
