When Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launches on PC it will be exclusive to, Activision announced today. The PC version will launch the same date as console editions, Oct. 12.

Beenox is handling development of Black Ops 4 on PC. The Activision subsidiary most recently developed the remastered version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare that launched in 2016.

In a livestream announcement today, Activision promised dedicated servers, a redesign of the game’s user interface, uncapped framerate and support for 4K resolution, HDR and ultra-wide monitors — all with PC players in mind. Weapon recoil and knockback for Black Ops 4 on PC was also designed for those playing with keyboard-and-mouse controls, Activision said.

“One of the things we’ve really wanted to focus on is PC gaming as its own unique platform, and really give PC gamers what they deserve,” said Dan Bunting, one of the studio heads for Treyarch. is the PC gaming platform established more than 20 years ago by Blizzard, which Activision acquired in 2008.
