Say hello to Boundless, an upcoming cross-platform, open-world game. In Boundless, PS4 and PC gamers will be able to play together in a single online universe. Being such a big open-ended game, players will be able to choose their own path they want to follow.

In Boundless, your homeworld will be unique. The game will use a procedural generation system to make sure no two worlds look alike. If you don't like the world you're currently on, say for instance there's a heavy downpour of acid rain; you can easily slip into a portal and travel to another world in the Boundless universe. The Boundless universe is just as diverse as it is big. Sometimes you'll thrive, let's say if you've landed on a peaceful, livestock-rich planet; and sometimes, you'll have to fight to survive. It's up to you if you want to explore the universe solo, or with friends.

If you happen to find a world in the Boundless universe that you really like, you can simply use a Beacon to claim it as your official home. Any land you claim will be yours, and you can change it as you see fit. If you want some friends to share the world with you, simply invite them and your new group of explorers can form an in-game guild. As a guild, you'll be able to share land, resources, build infrastructure, and team up to go on adventures. You'll also be able to compete with other guilds in the game to become one of the most loved or most feared guild in the game.

Boundless aims to be a bruising physical sandbox game. Players will be able to do things such as grapple up to seemingly inaccessible mountain ledges, slide down paths of ice into deep caves, and more. Wonderstruck, the developers of Boundless, want players to fulfill their dreams of becoming a space pirate. This includes hunting for dangerous treasure. Players will get to explore the game looking for the location of the ancient Titans. These Titans are enormous beings that are basically fortresses with minds of their own. After being activated, Titans will patrol the environment around them, seeking to destroy anyone they perceive as a threat to themselves. Titans will be equipped with different traps and will be swarming with deadly Protectors. Taking a Titan down will allow you to harvest and re-purpose their mechanical interiors to craft things such as airships and more. Taking down a Titan requires teamwork, and will surely lead to suicide if attempted alone. The risk is well worth the reward, so it's up to you to decide when you're ready to take one down.
