Blizzard giving an instant ticket to level 80 for WoW players

For those that have played World of Warcraft but their time dedicated to the game came to a finish, or a momentary hiatus, things are about to get a lot more interesting. If you have a friend who still plays the game, Blizzard are about to make the reconsideration a deal easier.

Blizzard announced on the official World of Warcraft website the revised Scroll of Resurrection. The service has previously allowed current World of Warcraft players to invite their 'deceased' counterparts to return once more. The revised Scroll of Resurrection is offering a large number of additional bonuses for both players involved.

The player who invites their friend back, or sends the scroll, will receive a new Spectral Gryphon or Spectral Wind Rider mount in exchange, as long as the friend returns and pays at least one month's subscription. The person who receives the scroll receives a tad more exciting 'gifts'; if you never quite made it to the highest cap, then you're in for a treat. For starters one week's game time is completely free. In addition to this, they will receive a free upgrade to Cataclysm, the latest expansion pack to the game. Not only that but they are also granted the ability to switch servers or factions on a character for free as well. And last but certainly not least, one character is instantly lifted to level 80.

There have been rare occasions where Blizzard have allowed a player to create a character above level 1, that included the Death Knight hero class in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, which started at level 55, so this service is truly remarkable if you are a fan of the game (or hoping to be once more). This service will allow friends to unite in the procedure to level up from 80-85; which just so happens to include the best content for World of Warcraft that Blizzard crafted.

It is debatable whether or not this was a genuine act of generosity, or something extra to keep fans entertained and servers busy until Blizzard have finalised everything for their next expansion pack, Mists of Pandaria. Either way, it is an incredible tactic and regardless of the authenticity, fans will relish at the idea of bonuses, and it gives players the chance to try out the latest expansion pack who may have been sceptical before, or did not want to bust out the game-time to reach level 80.

It's been a while since we've heard detail of the fourth expansion, so hopefully we'll have more information on Mists of Pandaria soon.
