A trailer for Black Desert, an MMORPG based in a fantasy realm ruled by magic and disturbing creatures, premiered during Microsoft’s Xbox E3 2018 press conference.
The trailer showed off some of the characters that players will be able to play as and demonstrated some of the environments players will be able to explore. Black Desert isn’t a new game — Black Desert Online has been popular on PC for some time now — but Xbox players can soon jump into a beta. That will begin later this fall.
Black Desert Online was originally released in North America in 2016, five years after Korean developer Pearl Abyss began working on the title. Black Desert Online had more than 3.4 million players in North America in Europe as of March 2017. Pearl Abyss announced that same year that it was working on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game.
