Well Irrational Games made an add-on tied to the story of BioShock Infinite and previous titles of the game which explains more about the city and its characters. Episode 2 will continue where we left off in Episode 1. In this story we play as Elizabeth.
Story
Open spoiler if you want to know what happens at the start of the game.
Elizabeth wakes up next to Comstock’s dead body, a man plays Russian roulette with a Revolver pointed at her head. Atlas appears ordering him to kill Elizabeth while a man is pulling Sally out of the vent. She then sees a vision of Booker sitting on a chair playing guitar. He instructs her to say she is Suchong's lab assistant and to promise them a way back to Rapture in exchange for Sally. Atlas agrees to her term and hands her a radio then orders one of his men to knock her out.
Abilities
We have the ability to use weapons and possibly open new tears as stated by Ken Levine. We also have the ability to lock-pic doors, as stated by the developers.It’s like a mini-game similar to BioShock’s hacking mini-game. One other special ability she has is called “The Blueprint Mode” which she can see the structure of some objects and look what's hidden inside.

In addition to the 1999 mode in Bioshock Infinite, they have announced the 1998 mode which will challenge gamers to complete the narrative using only non-lethal tools.
