Quantic Dream’s co-CEO Guillaume de Fondaumiere has made an exciting announcement for PlayStation 4 owners today. Coming to the PS4 are two of Quantic Dream’s most popular games, Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls. On November 24th, you’ll be able to download Beyond: Two Souls straight from the PlayStation Store. As for Heavy Rain, well you won’t be seeing that until March 1st of next year. Anyone who has played the game knows that it’ll be worth the wait. Heavy Rain has an amazing story and I recommend you give it a shot if you own a PlayStation 3.
The PlayStation 4 edition of Beyond: Two Souls will come with many improvements and new features, some of which were widely requested among the fans of the game. Coming with enhanced graphics at 1080p, the game sports many graphical improvements. This includes the addition of motion blur, bloom, depth of field, and improved lighting and shadows when compared to the PlayStation 3 version. The game will also utilize the speaker embedded in the DualShock 4 controller to help improve the immersion into the game the players feels when playing as the Entity.
Other changes made to the game include decisions now being highlighted at the end of each scene which will then be compared to how many players chose the same decision as you, or if they chose any of the other options in the same situation. The game will also have increased difficulty in certain fight scenes, and improved controls to make things easier for players during action sequences. Another widely requested feature that will be coming to the PlayStation 4 version is the ability to play the game in chronological order from the start. In addition to all of this, the game will come with the Enhanced Experiments DLC.
If you’re heading to this year’s PlayStation Experience event, you’ll be able to try both Beyond: Two Souls and Heavy Rain. If you decide to purchase Beyond: Two Souls digitally, you’ll get a discount on the Heavy Rain PS4 release. Stay tuned to the Homepage for news released during the upcoming PlayStation Experience!
