Luke Karmali from IGN, with the YouTube link for Fallout 4, states "Bethesda's Fallout 3 was released in 2008 and took place in a war-ravaged version of Washington DC, with expansions adding Pittsburgh and Maryland. Follow-up Fallout: New Vegas was developed by Obsidian in 2010 and was set in future Nevada". Bethesda has taken their games to the future and beyond, what could be held in place for Fallout 4? According to Jessica Conditt from engadget.com, "First, the rumors are true: Fallout 4 is set in Boston, as demonstrated by scenes from an alternate-universe Scollay Square, the real-life Boston city center established in 1838 and demolished in 1962, plus other landmarks in the video.". So we know Fallout 4 will be held in the post-apocalyptic town of Boston. Also, if Fallout: New Vegas, one of the best selling Fallout games, took 2 years to make (assuming Obsidian started development after Fallout 3), how will Fallout 4 be knowing that it took them 5 years? That 2 and a half more time than New Vegas!
My opinions so far on what I know. I believe that Fallout 4 will be the biggest smash hit of 2015, if not the 2010 decade. This game is taking it out of the park with new textures, and it can't be held back by last gen consoles as it is only coming out for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. You are able to pre-order Fallout 4 from fallout4.com, and although it has no set release date that we know of, I have a feeling it will be here somewhere around end of Summer/beginning of Winter 2015. Probably around Oct. as that was the release month for both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.
In the trailer, it also states the infamous line "War, war never changes.", stated originally by Ron Perlman.
