So, for those of you who don't know, Apple recently redesigned their Mac Pro from a towering metal behemoth, to a more compact, "modern" design that slightly resembles a trashcan. This news isn't exactly super new, as the redesign was announced and showcased at the WWDC 2013, and was being teased on their website for quite sometime. Well, for those of you who've been waiting to get your hands on the new Mac Pro, you'll be pleased to learn it hits shelves tomorrow, commanding a solid 2,999$ price tag.

Now, let's talk about what the Mac Pro has to offer you as a computer. Apple has happily provided plenty of info about it's parts, and why it's 2,999$ price tag is justifiable. The new Mac Pro is "Designed around an innovative unified thermal core, the all-new Mac Pro packs unprecedented performance into an aluminum enclosure that is just 9.9-inches tall and one-eighth the volume of the previous generation. Mac Pro features 4-core, 6-core, 8-core or 12-core Intel Xeon processors running at Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.9 GHz and two workstation-class AMD FirePro GPUs that deliver up to eight times the graphics performance of the previous generation Mac Pro."

Clearly, Apple is attempting to up their game with some serious parts, and give PC users a run for their money. So, what do you think? Is the Mac Pro just Apple's attempt to get more money by making you pay for their name, or will it become a contender against those looking to build a custom PC? Tell me how you feel below.
