When you buy a new PS4 game, you want to know you're getting the best deal. But because each retailer has its own regular sales, plus the occasional surprise discounts, it's tough to know what the best deal is on a game at any given time. PlayStation 4 owners, we're here to help. We've skimmed through the sales at all of the major PS4 game retailers and compiled the best deals of the week below.

Between now and August 6, you don't need PlayStation Plus to play Grand Theft Auto V online. That's especially good for anyone who's interested in the new After Hours update for GTA Online, which introduced nightclubs you can purchase that can help you run your other criminal enterprises. The game also happens to be on sale for $20 on the PlayStation Store.

As for games, a few notable ones that have been in the news lately are on sale. No Man's Sky just got a huge update that introduces a much better multiplayer experience, as well as new base-building mechanics and the ability to pilot a fleet of ships. It's on sale for $20 at Best Buy. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, which just had a Rainbow Six Siege crossover event go live, is on sale for $20.

The makers of Middle-earth: Shadow of War recently pulled the microtransaction market from the game in response to fans' complaints. It's on sale for $20 at GameStop, and if you buy from a local brick-and-mortar location, you'll get a code for the season pass printed right on your receipt.

Other notable deals include Star Wars Battlefront II for $25 at GameStop and the co-op shooter Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands for $20 on the PlayStation Store. And if you're thinking of getting into Destiny 2 so you're ready for the Forsaken expansion coming September 4, you can grab the base game for just $6 at Walmart. Or, if you want all of the game's content released so far, you can pick up Destiny 2 + Expansion Pass Bundle for $20 from the PlayStation Store.

Those are some of the best deals on PS4 games this week, and you can find more below.
