Activision announced earlier this afternoon that their upcoming game, Guitar Hero Live, will be released on October 20th, 2015. The newest addition to the Guitar Hero series will supposedly cost $99.99, which is quite reasonable considering that you will receive both the game and the newly designed guitar. The new title will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and even on the Wii U. Supposedly, certain mobile platforms will additionally support the game at launch too.

While Guitar Hero Live is quite similar to other games in the series, Activision is taking a new and somewhat original route for the series' revival. For example, the developers are introducing a new mode called "Guitar Hero TV Mode." Guitar Hero TV Mode is a 24-hour playable music network that will allow players to experiment with different songs from different genres throughout the course of the day. Guitar Hero Live will also be introducing a new first-person perspective which includes some kind of full-motion film, but currently we do not know too much information regarding this particular film. In addition to this, a never before used redesigned controller will be included in the bundle.

This title will without a doubt bring back several memories. Playing games such as Guitar Hero and Rock Band on my Nintendo Wii took up hours of my childhood.
