Is there anyway to fix the skin texture issue with the new dlc?

Ok so I'm assuming it's a gearbox issue?

1. Either its your disc not loading correctly... Or your dlc that didnt download correctly. - To fix this just redownload the dlc and or instal the game to your console

2. if your disc is installed on to your xbox360, and or pc/ps3. Then it could be the actual hardware of the machine that is failing to load the textures.. After a while your system might break soon and give you a YLOD, RROD.- Not really a fix for this, if your console is going to break its going to break. You may be able to fix it afterwards, but yeah.

3. Maybe it is just a glitch with gearbox and how they made it and you've come across magically unlocking it for only your game? lol
Beats me, but i hope you can manage to get this working for you

I wonder if Rick will come up with an updated 158 Gibbed editor that irons out these bugs and can create the new items the way we are all use to instead of using the raw tab?

Are you talking about Krieg's skin? If so it is a known issue over on the gearbox forums.

I can load the shields, relics, and grenades just fine on Xbox. I tried constructing them and pasting codes... so does it only work sometimes... or am I just really lucky?

Are you using the Gibbed 158 off of Ricks page or the Community version?

Personally I have everything working fine on the Xbox except my chain lightning won't multi-drop with the master copy, and I can't load my save on either editor currently which is fine because its my main save anyways .
but I have all grenades shields relics class mods for the siren weapons except the new "skin" weapons I don't see a point in having those, I loaded them all through item data though
also Kriegs skin but that is a known error so

So when using this Item Data method, I assume I have to do it on every game save I have if I want the items to work for all my characters, correct?

I have not yet had any items not work while using the ItemData method (made shadow relic, both shields, a few class mods, grenades, and skins), so Im getting the impression that its probably user error if items are still not working for people while doing it that way. Either user error, or maybe its something different in the community editor?

I'm new to this method. I have put all of the grenades, class mods, shields and skins in the Item Data section. So now what? Am I suppose to delete the items from my back pack now like DOMIN8 had stated above? If I do that will it still show up somewhere when I am in game?

Yes. Delete from the backpack after adding through ItemData and they should show up fine in game...

Okay cool. So even though I delete them from my backpack they should still show up in there?

I am also guessing that with that method we still have to get them out of our backpack or bank before loading into gibbed, correct?

I don't think so... That only seems to be an issue if the items were picked up in game...

Yes, after you load up the save into the game the first time the items take on the set ID that they are supposed to have (which is currently not supported by the editor), so you will not be able to load the save into the editor afterwards unless you get rid of the items (drop them, trade them to a different character, or put them in claptraps storage)

After you load the items into the game the first time they become exactly the same as the items you obtain legit, so the editor can no longer read the save.

Okay I see now. So no matter what, these items will generate an error message in Gibbed when reloaded...meaning there is currently no way to get codes that will stick for these items. You have to drop them every time you go from the game to Gibbed. And if you find the items in game and try to load the character into gibbed to get the codes that way you will get an error message too. MAN, hopefully a revision to Gibbed comes out soon that fixes these bugs so we can bring the items into Gibbed and copy the codes.

Well even with all these snags, I gotta say good job on figuring out work-arounds for these bugs. You guys go way over my head sometimes! o_O

gibbed and/or Visual OS, any insight as to what may be causing this? I would lean more toward it having something to do with the Xbox update. I have no problems on PC and PS3 users seem unaffected as well. And we're all using the same program.

Gibbed has all the necessary information for this DLCs content and when I pick up items in game they all have the same exact strings as the ones we can create.

This is quite a strange issue and I don't think I've encountered anything like this before with any of the previous DLCs.

tl;dr... I blame MS...

You can add the weapons just fine to your bank and mod them like normal... But, in order to open your save you'll need to drop or stash the ones you picked up in game...
