Mr. Mazda
I need some help setting up an ssd and hdd. I currently did a fresh install of windows on my ssd. Now, I only want that to be for windows. I want all my applications/programs on my hdd. I followed this tutorial on how to move the user folder over.
It did get the user folder onto my hdd. Now I tried this
Thinking that would work. It did not. Each time I install something it goes on my C drive (ssd). If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!
Great guide it works perfectly. However you might want to add a little bit onto the guide. For those who dont want to manualy select the install path of all your programs, you can do a registry tweak so it will install it on your hdd instead of your ssd. It might have been mentioned before but for those who want to know anyways heres how.
1.) run regedit
2.) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \\ SOFTWARE \\ Microsoft \\ Windows \\ CurrentVersion
3.) change all c:\\ to what ever you want to.ie
C:\\Program Files\\Common Files ===> D:\\Program Files\\Common Files
