Can someone post a detailed tutorial on how to install XeXMenu? Thanks.

Alright, here you are:

You need to get XEXMenu http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ODPO6D12 (code9999 folder) or http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OHW7CB4E (for ISO) and install to your xbox hard drive.

To do this you have two options.

1) Burned CD/DVD using XeXMenu 1.1.iso
Use the file browser to copy (using the "X" button) the directory
"C0DE9999" to the 360 HDD from a USB flash drive to:
Hdd1://Content/0000000000000000/

2) Transfer Cable
Use appropriate software to copy the directory "C0DE9999" to 360 HDD at:
Partition3\Content\0000000000000000

Go to Game Library.
Run the game demo listed as "XeXMenu".

From here you can then put a game into the Xbox and rip it.

You can also use Xbox Image viewer to extract images to a USB Hard drive.

Open Xbox image browser http://www.megaupload.com/?d=TZYQW2W6
click on File -> Open image file.
Navigate to the ISO you wish to extract.

Right click the image in the box and click extract.
Make a new folder and then click ok
It will then begin to extract it there.
you can have it extract directly to your external hard drive if you wish just make your new folder inside of usb: (this is what ever drive letter your pc assigns to the external hdd)\games\name of game\ and then extract.

Once its done hook external back to Xbox and Xexmenu or Freestyle should be able to see the new game.

No, with Xex Menu 1.1 you can rip official game disks to your Microsoft HDD, or External HDD.

Can this be done to a memory card rather than a 360 HDD?

Yes, you can run Xex Menu 1.1 from the Memory Unit. However, you cannot "rip" games to a memory card because it doesn't have enough free space, obviously.

The dvd drive doesn't work on mine, so I plan on ftping to a 3.5 hdd (tut found here...http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=699024&pid=4590209&mode=threaded&show=&st)

So I'll just be putting downloaded games on the external. I'm just confused about the whole xexmenu process.

I'm also being told that DLC, and game saves go on the memory card, and not the external. Is there any truth to that? If not, would a 64mb memory card do the trick for xexmenu?
