How to put Games on the Zune

A member at ZuneBoards.com,runtohell121, posted how to put games on the zune. I am going to post a updated verison of it

1. Download the follow 2 program:

 Microsoft XNA Game Studio 3.0 CTP 

 Visual C# 2008 Express Edition 

2. Install C# 2008 first

3. Now install the XNA Game Studio program

4. After installing it, Open up C# and try to find the monitor with the x/cross on it. if you can't find it.. follow the tutorial below

******1. open up software and you might not see the monitor with the cross/x on it

2. right click on the side.. and you'll see some option.. click on XNA Game Studio Device management

3. after clicking on that.. it will show up.. and click on it.. add new device..

1. click on the monitor with x/cross on it.
2. once that is open.. you'll see this should be empty if you haven't add any device on it yet.


3. click on the "+" sign in green.
4. another new window will pop up like this:

5. click on the zune
6. theres a window like this.. and click on your zune i didn't have anything connected just showing you people

7. click on next and it will say testing connection.

once you have that, then download the games below me:
Galactic Wars 3

Allien Aggressors(zune 30)

When you have the games extracted, open the .sln file.

1. open the file
2. connect your zune
3. go to build and then deploy to zune

2. connect zune
3. go to build and deploy to zune, if that don't work, click on start debugging also and click deploy again.

Wow so technically, you could make your own games as long as you knew how to use the C++ compiler

No, you can make the games in XNA which i pretty sure is Visual or Visual Basic, but im unsure

Certain games do, such as the first Tetris on the zune (cant remember the excat name) i have the new 80gig and the old 30 gig so ive used the new one more but the last thing i did on the old was play the tetris

it's a tutorial, he is allowed to bump. now is there any way you can give me a fully compiled can and i can just add it like through my library?

When you start up Visual and your zune is connected, there will be a option under File that is simlar to " Compile and send to zune" and it will automaticlly send the game to the zune.

You have to use visual, theres no other program "At the moment" that will sync games with the zune

Oh I saw a comment way up top to mine. Its C#, so if you know how to program in C#, you can potentially create any program you want, as long as the zune can handle, no loads of 3d files or too many objects on the screen, stuff like that. But say you wanted a polynomial equation factoring program, assuming you can program it in c#, you can load it up onto your Zune and be thankful the next day during your math test.
