Click the image to open in full size.Today Microsoft decided to torture gamers everywhere by telling everyone who would listen that Xbox Live will be down for 24 hours from 12:01AM PST Monday 29th September. To find out what time that is in your timezone of choice, please click here.

The changes made during this downtime will be invisible to us gamers until the launch of the new dashboard update later on in the year, so don't expect some mystical new feature to pop up out of the blue. The My Xbox section of Xbox.com will also be effected, and the forums there will only be in read-only mode.

good news and badnews both I guess, The bad... Its going to be down for 24 hours (no big deal really). The good news... They are Preparing for the Dashboard update (wich means that the dashboard update should follow shortly after).

Nooo.... i will probably go on graw and complete it , i was really hoping it was the dashboard update with it being 24 hours, hopefully it will fix my cod4 problem though

I think it was originally set for September and then was moved to November (No exact date has been released). Maybe we will get luck and they'll compromise for October. lol.
