Price cut is finally official

For months we have been living with the rumors of a September 7th (Brazil's Independence Day for those who like trivia) price cut for all three SKUs of the Xbox 360. After seeing more than a few flyer sans that only made it more believable, Microsoft flicked the "No Comment" - "It's True" switch and Major Nelson annonced that the new prices wil be effective starting on the 5th (two days before we can ALL celebrate such an important date where Dom Pedro I cried "Independence or death!").

Just to remind you all, the new prices are: U$199 for the Arcade, U$299 for the 60GB Pro and U$399 for the ebony colored Elite. With the Arcade cheaper than the Wii, wiill (HA) wii (HA²) see a fierce battle between the two?
