In what is likely to turn into a year long slugfest between the Leipziger Messe and the Koelnmesse, the organisers of next years gamescom in Cologne have today confirmed the spritual successor the the Leipzig GC will take place from September 9th-13th 2009 with the game industry’s full backing. In a similar press release the Leipziger Messe today confirmed that after record attendance of 203,000 visitors, the show would return August 19th to 23rd 2009.
We at XBOX Focus like to watch these kind of fights as much as the next guy but not when it might mean two smaller shows with less industry backing and less visitors.
