Rumor: Halo 4 is next Xbox's launch title

Remember those rumors that said Gearbox was working on Halo 4? Well, they have surfaced again on the newest issue of OXM. Their team alledgedly investigated the issue and found that, not only is Gearbox working on Halo 4, but the game will be a launch title for the Xbox 360's successor.

That is all rumor for now, but OXM has a good track record for their "predictions", so stay tuned, but not that tuned, as we shouldn't expect news on that front for a while.

can i say instant false? Just take a look at the situation. Microsoft is still building on the 360. Their efforts are centered around the 360 in both commercial games and indy games. They will continue to do so for atleast 3 more years. A successor to halo 3 will come out before that time.

The game was called Halo becuase of the "Halo-Like" Ring Planet. But the planet your talking about was a Sphere. so why would they call it halo? It will be called "Sphere" and itll just be the same charachters. ROFLstix

I am not a huge fan of Halo, I played all 3 online, offline, with mates and will be sure to get number 4, I just hope they spend more time on it then they did with Halo 3.

Gearbox is a really good studio, they have some serious games under their belt. Now only that but peter jackson is actually the supervisor for this next game due to the fact that he is a massive fan of the halo books and thought the games were a phail. Halo 4 will never happen, mainly because there is nothign after halo, and if there is, it's a new franchise. They already said they are calling h4 "Halo Chronicles" and it is supposedly goign back to halo 1 roots and is goign to be based on contact harvest & the fall of reach..

If this is done right, I will respect the halo name again. Bungie? Well, they probably won't ever make a game again cause they are ****y and suck at life. And if they did make a new game, the whole game would be eastereggs like halo3 was and the entire game would have halo and marathon hints. GAY. who cares? it's a new game god dammit! That and nobody will buy it so who the **** cares?

That and since Microsoft owns the name to the halo series and franchise, bungie actually can't make another halo game since they left microsoft .. AKA they rammed themselves in the ***. Which is quite funny.

Either way, I wouldn't doubt that "H4" 'HC" or the superintendant or w.e they wanna call it comes out on the next console. Because an 09 release would make no sense. 2 years to develop a good game isn't enough and 2010 is the NeXtBOX
