During this years Leipzig Games Convention, Microsoft announced a new controller model, that looks the same (except for the horrible green color) but has a "new and improved" d-pad.
The bad part of the deal (beyond having to live with the attrotious color) is that the controller comes out in October only in Europe, Asia and some place called Latin America. The new gamepad will come to celebrate the release of Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 and since those are the territories that buy it the most, they get the controller.
But fear not north american friend, it most likely be released in your country before the end of the year.
