| Novice | Re: Reformatting your Xbox HDD with NDURE Softmod Exploit First off, thanks for the tutorials. I got the one on restoring an xbox drive to retail to work perfectly. Trying to softmod is a different story, unfortunately. I think I must be doing something wrong with NDure, but I don't know what. I rebuilt the (stock) drive using your other tutorial, booted into the MS dashboard and found out I have the 3944 kernel. I followed this tutorial using the below options for NDure: ![]() I unlocked the drive (unlockhd -a), wiped the partition table (xboxhd option 5), then rebuilt the drive from my shiny new ISO. Re-locked the drive (lockhd -a), plugged it into the xbox, and on bootup, I get the green blob followed by a black screen (no errors, but no dash). I've also tried using the 'Generic' option for the kernel specific items, with the same result. Any idea what could be going wrong? |
