Reformatting your Xbox HDD with NDURE Softmod Exploit

Hi now i have tryed to make my xbox work whit this tut as u say! i get one step closer the finish by this.
Now its not stops whit the microsoft logo. it turns black right after... what should i do then? maybe i made wrong choice in the kernel think. I got the kernel 4034. and your backup was newer i think... maybe thats the problem?

And it doensd boot my Cd-rs. maybee i should try boot superdisc och console disc on a dvd-r?

You want to have your computer to boot to a CD. And format it to factory default to see your kernel. This is for people who already knew their kernel.

my computer boots the xboxhdm cd and that works fine. done it before. ok so i should runt that tut instead?

Yeah, because the NDURE fonts are Kernel Specific. I would run that first tut, then if you want it softmodded again then use this tut.

i run the first tut and it goes back to original, Whit my 250gb disk. Then i tryed to run this again. but the same thing heapens it just turns black after the microsoft logo! And from there nothing is happening!

I rly hope u can help me out once more
btw can i softmodd it whit xbochdm and make xbmc as dash directly?

Your 250 gb disk trys to load the M$ dash and still does that? The partitions may not be done right. The G drive needs to be made.

And you can, in the dash folder on the E folder just overwrite everything.

So how does i make a G drive?
and its not try to load the m$ dash i think... gona try make a grive today then!

EDIT:
need to say thx again forrest master. it works now... 4 some reason i forgot to put in some files in the E folder. And last time forgot to lock the hd. Now its works. when i get unleashX running i did just FTP the XBMC folder to E:\dash and now its working fine.

Thank you! I broke my Action replay card, and i was bumbed becuase my forst xbox needed to be serviced, so i had to remod it, but i couldnt becuase i had no action replay! this worked liek a charm and i apreciate it alot!

Then your HDD is either still locked or the computer is dumb. If you are sure its unlocked then boot up xboxhdm with a different HDD and when it gets to the first menu, hotswap the HDDs.

so ya u said that i was supposted to get error 12 but i got error 07 when i unplug the ide cable

EDIT: ya i tried the hot swap it didnt work, it said plz insert a drive and reboot........ itz a gay situation

also i dont know if this might have any connection to it or not (sarcasim) but a wile ago my cousin was mad at me so he hilighted all the directories on my xbox on the file explorer and deleted it. well i turned on my xbox and it said something about missing dashboard and it said that it would install it (the modded dash) but thats all it did and i cant ftp to it any more ether i can still copy games and stuff but i tried to re install the soft mod but i formatted the xbox mem cards and my xbox wont reformat them so that they can read it.
i dont know if that has to do anything with it but if i cant fix it then thats ok im looking at buying a new xbox any way.
