| Novice | Aah, I have connected to my xbox through windows explorer and flashfxp but when i go to transfer a file, I am asked for a username and password. So I put my username and password in and it won't give me access. I tried setting my xbox to allow annonymous users and it still won't work. |

| Guest | Try clearing your cache by deleting the files in the X Y and Z drives and reboot your xbox. Or you can try changing your network from DCHP to Static or Static to DCHP, saving, restart your xbox and change it back, save , restart. |

| Novice | Re: How To Ftp To Your Xbox Why we need Modem or Router? Isn't it simply a connection from machine to machine? They both have ETHERNET cards. So what? |

| Guest | Re: How To Ftp To Your Xbox Well, you can connect to computers , or in this case, an xbox and a computer directly to each other and FTP. But you need a crossover cable, which isnt that hard to make, then you have to make both your xbox and your computer have static ip's so that they can connect to each other. |

| Novice | Re: How To Ftp To Your Xbox i am having troubles with this tutorial. i have softmodded my xbox and i have the evolutionx dashboard. but when i try to ftp it says "connection timed out" so i tried to change my xbox ip to "DHCP" but in the 'network settings' menu i can only change the options in white font and my ip settings are all in blue font. i cannot change it to DHCP. it wont let me. do i have to change some setting on my computer or some other setting on my xbox first to unlock these options? |

| Guest | Re: How To Ftp To Your Xbox You should be able to change it. If you cant, then your ethernet cord is not plugged in on one end. It needs to be connected to your router. You cant direct connect to your computer unless you use a Crossover cable. |
