How To Ftp To Your Xbox

Make sure you didn't accidently change your ip to static. If anything, turn your Xbox and all your computers off, turn off your router and unplug your modem. Wait 15 seconds, plug your modem back in, connect it to the internet, then connect your router, then turn on your Xbox and see if you have an IP now. If you do, turn your computer on and FTP.

ok, i modded my first map and it FTP'd fine. now i cant connect using my FTP program. i looked at my modded dash and its set to DHCP but it says the current IP is 0.0.0.0
i checked all my cables, and its all plugged in. (i use a wirelss router). it still keeps saying connection timed out

I had this same problem once check the back of the xbox port and see if it still light's up when its connected

ok, i read through a lot of stuff, but on my xbox when i set the type to DHCP then saved and rebooted it completely lost the IP and it got set to 0.0.0.0 and i cant get an IP out of it. someone please help me.i have no idea what to do know

make sure the settings are set to auto find ip also, it should be under the DHCP part in the settings, save and reboot and you shall have an ip

the only options it has where the DHCP is are DHCP and static, and i've read enough to know that i dont want static.

under it should say automatically find ip, set that to yes.

allright, i got it now. it was just being weird and not wanting to work very well, i just had to restart my router a few times untill it decided to find an IP address. thanks.

I need help on finding the xbox IP adress, where do you find it? does it come up somewhere when you connect it to your compter??

No matter what FTP program I use, my transfers always start off at a 1 meg or 2, but then continually go down until they hit 0.

I was transferring a bunch today, but now, like I said, it always ends up at 0 kbs/ps before it finishes.

Any suggestions?

No. You need XSATA or XPORT.

I was wondering, i have a wireless xbox in my upstairs. can I connect to my router
wirelessly because I dont have a way of plugging in my xbox to a monitor or screen by my desktop. please help, this is my only problem.
