Can someone help me out here, I need the FTP Client (FlashFXP) download but whenever I try to down load it, it says file not found...so can someone please tell me where I can get this file so I can mod my halo 2 maps??

I'm in my modded dash, but the FlashFXP keeps saying Connection Failed after I type in the ip.

Make sure your IP is not set to Static. Once you change it to automatic or dhcp (or w/e) then make sure you SAVE and exit. If you hit B, it doesn't save. Then restart, go back to the network settings, get your new IP (the one closer to the top) and then put taht in FXP.

well, if u put it to DHCP, it should show up. if not, then one problem is that ur not connected to the internet, or that u havent reset ur settings by clicking the restart button at the bottom of the screen of the linux program. if youve done this, then i cant help u

No, I haven't reset my settings..nvr mind...it is working again, so after I am my modded dash, what do I do next?

i use to have my computers ip as my xbox default gateway or its the other way around but if u do that then any program should work fine its much easier

Okay, do I need a router to FTP my xbox? I only have a Verizon Stormport 620 Cable Modem. I have an Ethernet port that connects my xbox to my computer. But everytime I try to connect it fails. And how do find the IP of my xbox? I goto the IP I change it from Static to DHCP but I still get the Defualt even after booting. Do I need to have a Live account to do that? Beacuse.. I don't have the money to get one. D: Help please.

FTP Client - Click HERE for FlashFXP. You can use other clients, but this is the most widely used client for the Xbox.

i cant download it. if i click on it is sais error file not found. is there any other way to download this client or a different client. please help me.

if this is not working use a crossover cable quite simple just attach the cable to your xbox and your computer set your xboxs ip to static and follow this tutorial http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/ftp-networking-tutorials/6035-configure-your-pc-use-crossover-cable.html
this shall tell u how to change your ip settings which MUST be changed because if u havent noticed the ip is still the same when it was unmodded so this helps alot if u change it, it says in the tut what to change to. Once youve done all the settings open up your ftp client and connect using the settings provided and remember the password and username are both xbox. Just keep looking on the site your bound to find something that helps

Make sure your Xbox is modified and that you have set your network settings to DHCP (and click save and exit so that the values are actually saved). Then reset, get the new ip, then FTP.

Me and my friends have been trying to FTP for the longest time, and it doesn't seem to work. So, I have a few questions.

1. Can you just use a store bought CAT6 cable with RJ-45 ends already on it, or do you have to use a custom made CAT5? If so, where can I get the totorial.

2. If using your method, (with router), what cable should I use to connect my x-box to my router?

3. If using a direct connect, should I still use Flash? If not, what?

4. Is it okay to use a wireless router, as long as I plug the x-box dirrectly into the router?

Some one PLEASE help us. We are dying to play some Killtrocity Mods. Thanks.
