How to Softmod your Xbox with SID 4.0

Meh, I ****ed it up, thought I figured it out, messed around with it, apparently ****ed it up worse, can't delete ms backup or uninstall the softmod. I read this whole thread and still don't understand.

Oh well, I just don't understand some of the stuff, i tried at least, well no more xbox live until i get it fixed haha.

Great....I can't get back onto my unleash dash, when I boot it ( with either button) it just goes to the regular one.

**** SOMTHING WENT WRONG IT SAYS FAILED TO LOAD MAP WHEN I TRANSFERED ALL THESE MODDED MAPS THAT WAS A FUNPACK I HAVE DONE IT BEFORE AND IT WORKED THEN I TOOK THEM OFF, AND NOW I TRIED TO DO IT AGAIN BUT IT ISNT WORKING HELP ME PLEASE.

This is mezzed up, i try to boot my xbox in any way and the modded dash never shows, then i put a DVD tonight and the freakin dash comes up, i take it out and shut it off and turn it on with nothing in the try, goes to MS dash so what is up here? and why wont it let my play dvd's?

ok.. it goes to your ms dash try pressing L+R triggers and start and back buttons ..does it go to your modded dash? and to play dvd's do you mean from an app on your modded dash or your ms dash ms dash well you need a remote modded try re-installing it.. hope this helps

Well, you don't "have to buy action replay." I did this tutorial with an xbox to usb adapter and a jump drive. All you have to do is get the cable (xbox to usb) then plug it into your xbox with the jump drive. Turn on your xbox and wait for the xbox to format the usb device. Note: You need the latest ms dashboard to do this. After that, hook it back up to your pc, copy the game files and after that is done connect it back to your xbox. Once you have done that just follow the rest of the tutorial from where it says to copy the game files to your xbox hd.

okay lets say u have a modded xbox... you sign into XBL and go into a custom game... do u still get banned from matchmaking??? And can u temp. turn the modz off for MM????

you dont even need to do that you can make your own usb adapter with an old controller.... and hiberdassasin once you plug it back in after you format it back to your computer it will reformat once more when you plug it back into your xbox again and wipe everything on your flash drive.

i need alot of help, ok here i go. first i did eveything i u said. when u tryed to on on xbl i couldn't go on, i changed the thing but nothing, so i unstalled it, when i tryed to put everything back in i couldn't, plz help me!

alright what thing did you change? all your connection settings need to be on default. if thats what you mean. when you go to reinstall it what exactly goes wrong?

i did everything here and that messed my exbox up. i did not have any luck. i would not use this file i have some that work

If it messed up your Xbox, then you apparently did not do it right. There are many people in this thread that have gotten it to work and there are many people at another site I posted this at that have gotten it to work. The one at the other site is about 30 pages long with people who have gotten it to work.
