How to Softmod your Xbox with SID 4.0

hey guys thanks for the reply i gave up on that box and just went ahead and softmodded my old un modded box then just put a bigger hdd in it it was a hundred times easier yea the lod box just doesnt want to boot in to modified dash no matter what installed dual boot softmod/softmod menu installed dual boot softmod/ms dash and single boot nothing worked

Do you mean the part that says you need to have the account already on your xbox before you mod it?

sorry for the delay in reply i have everything working just fine with a new hd using nuders installer. i was able to retreive the eeprom from the s.i.d installed softmod using forests great app(im compedent enough not to mess with my c and sid is just a p.i.a so nuders is the best) thanks again forrest for the app

I'm in the process of soft modding my old Xbox with Acton Replay and Splinter Cell but, I ran into a problem.?

I transferred the game saves ( Linux Installer - SID 4.0 Nknave & Linux_Profile ) over to the old Xbox with the Action Replay Xbox memory card and copied the files to the Xbox hard drive. Then I did the next step which was to load up Splinter Cell and Click Linux as a profile name then click Check Points but...... NOTHING HAPPENS??? It's like the Xbox freezes as it's trying to install I cant do anything with the controller so I have to turn the Xbox off. Any help is appreciated.

As long as you read the tut and do everything it says your xbox will be fine, even if you mess it up make a topic in the xbox support section and it will be fixed before you know it.

hey ok i have fixed it before but now for what ever reason i cannot fix the MS dash asking for time. It doesn't load my modded dash. I turn it on with the little button and then it asks for the time but the light is red, so when i hit the open button it doesnt load the MS dash it just opens the drive, but when I start it up the the open drive button the light doesn't turn red but it doesnt ask for the time.....ugh so as you can see im a bit confused and angered lol, so please help me? preferabbly soon i got a halo party coming up soon and i really want my xbox working (modded preferably lol) and great guide BTW.

SID 4 has that problem, i don't really know how to fix it but you can use a different installer to avoid the whole problem. I would recommend using http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/xbox...r-1-1-1-a.html

and Ndure doesn't have that problem? like ever? lol, but does it have dual boot?

Yes, it never has that problem and yes it has dual and tri-boots.

I installed SID 4.0 and when the system starts up on dual boot it goes to the SID installer screen and I have to manually go to my files and load up my X Dash and everything works fine. How do I get it to bypass the SID installer screen and just go to the X dash upon start up?

hello, i've tried to softmod my xbox but it seems like i messed up during the step 14 or something..so after the softmod install was completed so the UnleashX wasn't load up and dashboard made no difference..when i decided to go back to install all over but it won't let me because batch process failed..so i read the ftp xbox tutorial and i downloaded the FlashFXP to get my xbox connect but the connection was failed..i'm stuck..please help me..my xbox dashboard wasn't even shown as UnleashX..it shows only normal MS dashboard

i know this TUT is old as hell, but im having a problem with it, im using splinter cell, non platinum, i have the 2 files "install linux" and "LINUX_Profile" on my mem card using AR, i copied both from my mem card to my console, removed mem card, started the game, selected linux profile, click check checkpoints 2 times, all it does is freezes it, its been froze at this same screen for 10-15 mins, this is the 6th time ive tried the install, ive also tried it on a second xbox, still didnt work. help me out?
