How to Softmod your Xbox with SID 4.0

I go to the links and download the file but when I try to put it to action replay it says it I have to download somthing els to open it how do I get it to action replay?:cry2:

I'm new to xbox modding. I followed the sid4.0 installer tutorial step-by-step. It worked flawlessy. Now that I have it modded, I have a few questions. I can ftp my xbox. No problems there. I'm using UleashX dashboard. I want to put some new skins on there. I go to the e drive. I have no /dashboard or even dashboard/skins directory. I don't have a /apps or /games directories either. Did something actually go wrong or do I create them myself. I have looked all over for info but I have not been able to find any.

You create your own games and apps folders. I'm not sure how UX skins work since I've only worked with Evox skins. If you get AID4, it should come with a bunch of UX skins.

Is sid 5.0 out and does it have the ability to update dashes. i read that over a xboxhq in a forum.

NTSC and PAL is a television standard. US = NTSC, pretty much everywhere else =PAL.

plz help me!!! I used mechassault and it used 2 give me an error 21 message, but now it just freezes and the music changes to this wierd thing!!!

the error 21 comes to me whenever i turn on my xbox and leave the cd tray open while its turning on

try cold booting it (sticking the disc b4 u turn of the xbox, so the xbox turns on with the disc in the drive) then uninstall sid 4.0 and then reinstall it.

that worked thanks! but i have another question. I changed some things on my containment halo 2 map (can give a list if would help) and it changer to 2.04 GB were as the non-modded maps are arond 40 MG and the game freezes when I try to START loading the map. what should i do??????

try to do the things over again, because that is very large for a map. i know it must be frustrating to do it over, but that is the only advise i can give u

will someone help i have created an eprombackup and backed up my ms dash but when i install my softmod using open-trial ux it says



sory it says faiure due to batch process or something and when i restart xbox on mod it says service required call customer support.

but when i load splinter cell up it works and unleashed but then when i ftp my modded maps it says failed to load map and i did resign them. i use to mod and it use to work but i uninstalled my softmod and know wont work i will give screenshots if this doesn't make sense.

hi managed to softmod but it is a grey screen softmoded dashboard and ms dashboard is grey instead of colour why is this
