How to Softmod your Xbox with SID 4.0

Read my step 11 about ndure...its just a process like I told you on msn.

SID 4.5 is more for advanced modders (so i'm told by the makers of it). 4.0 is more for the new people to softmodding...but there is a bug in 4.0 that people have been getting and Gus has taken care of it and I'll be beta testing it on my friends Xbox 2morrow.

If all goes well, there will be a better 4.0 w/o the errors and this will be the tutorial for you to follow.

WHen i try to put SID v4.0 on to my action replay it says not a valid Xbox save. Any suggestions on how I can get it on to my memory card.

Yeah, dont extract the individual files. The format that AR likes is when its ZIPPED.

ok i got the files on my xbox n every thing but when i go tohit a on load check point (splinter cell) it just freezes....n its not the platinum one eather. i dont get it

I have encountered a problem. When I try to get on LIVE!, it gives me my passcode menu, i can put in my passcode, but it doesnt load live. Is something wrong?

ok this might be a stupid question but i dont fell like doing this for nothing when i finnish doing this will my maps be modded so all i have to do is to go and put some mods on my xbox and the i have mods... cause so of my friends on xbox live tell me that u have to use smart ftp and i have to type in my ip and so on need some help thxs

This will NOT mod your maps. Once you have your xbox modded, then that allows you to ftp to your xbox TO mod your maps.

It starts up green, then after like 5 seconds, the color is red. when i attempt to go to the MS dashboard, it wont even take me there. thats bad right?

SID 4 won't let me do my ms backup and my xbox is not modded.

SID 4.5 will do the same. You can't have your xbox previously/currently softmodded. Just try to skip that step and start installing, if you have a good backup of your dash then you'll be able to move on, if you don't then you have to find someone with a good ms backup to restore and start all over again.
