This way, you dont need to open your mem card, just split a connection cord for your controller, strip a usb cord, and wire them together. I didnt crimp mine like in the link, just taped them worked fine. ed2k-it :: View topic - Homemade Xbox Action Replay and Xbox-PC controller hack Hope that helps
I'm not ripping on you, Metallic, but that is the most GHETTO AS$ xbox adapter I have ever seen. There are a dozen different ways you could build an adapter that looks and functions much much better...

Here...I wrote this thread as an example of how a GOOD connector should look...

before you go buy a new memory card, why not de-solder it, and read the other tutorial that was posting directly under the first post?

but on another note, i can't believe this was posted in 06' i've never seen this, in 06' i was busy cutting up my controller cord and doing it the other way.
haha

Re: Make Your Own Action Replay

There is another tutorial!!!

That lets you use a usb thumb stick as a memory card.

And use the action replay software with it by just using a new driver.

2. A old xbox controller you can kill and it has to be
microsoft made xbox controller not a third party.

3. A Usb female connector

After downloading everything on this site connect your thumb stick.

install Action replay 1.05 first

then go to codejunkies.com and download the 1.40 update and install it

run usbview

find your thumb stick.

open xbreader.sys located in the program files\datel\action replay folder

make sure you edit both drivers one is in the drivers folder one isn't
and can be found in the datel folder.

Re: Make Your Own Action Replay

Sorry that this is a bump but I was wondering if a Xbox 360 memory stick thing would work as well?

Re: Make Your Own Action Replay

Yo H0ly mad PROPS for this guide. This **** worked perfectly for me!

***For those who aren't soldering the connections***
I didn't have a soldering kit so i used electrical tape at first but failed horribly. Second time around though what i did was use a pin to loop the connections around the back of the memory unit connections. Worked out real good for me.
