How to Softmod with Krayzie's Ndure Installer 1.1.1

Wow, thanks alot AzzidReign for a great tut. Only problem I had was with the crappy mem card that comes with Action replay. Once I switched to another card everything went smooth including the update to 1.1.1 . Ive read that alot of other people have the same problem and thought maybe you might make note of this in your tutorial. Thanks again great job

i'm getting an error when i press update to 1.1.1, i get a batch error saying

the last item was: save missing
action: rename

i know i have the save beause it is in my udata folder

Did you make sure the 1.1.1 config.xml overwrote the 1.1 one? Re-read the 1.1.1 instructions again to make sure you did everything exactly.

yeah i made sure it overwrote it

right now in my extras folder i have config xml along with the updatefiles in the folder. not sure i have the right default.xbe file though. maybe that's the problem? if so where do i get the default.xbe from?

You need to take all your info from the 1.1.1 and put it in the extras folder in your 1.1 folder. Everything you need should be there.

ok then i did everything right. but i dont see why i would get a missing save error when i have it in the the udata folder

ok i overwrote the save and trid it again and cleared th save problem. now i get a batch process error that says

last item was: 1.1 not installed right
action: rename

so i reinstalled the soft mod and still go tthe same error, what am i dong wrong now?

nvm. the reason it didnt work is because i had 1.0, anyway i dont see the on/off switch after i run the extras

I was wondering if you knew how to use usb memory sticks to do this and if you do i was wondering if you could tell me why when i put game saves on the stick nothing recognizes it except the xbox? Action relays software doesn't work either.

We've ran into problems with that. There was 1 member that might have figured it out...that or he just ran out and got an AR...

As for the on/off switch, I don't know where it's at since I never have used it...Krayzie said he put it back in...

General Bananas; don't know if this will help but not all usb mass storage devices are compatible with the xbox here's a link for compatible/noncompatible Xbox USB Compatibility List - Xbox-Linux . I personally used Action replay with an xbox memory card since AR mem cards seem to corrupt larger files.

ok well everything went fine. i just gotta find out where that switch is... it's supposed to be right there in the menu

haha well i found the switch, but it's not where i've seen it on other dashes, but that's ok

Cant seem to get my ndure installer files to drag to the mem card in AR. where should the ndure files be located on my PC to drag them to the mem card in AR?:cry2:

open the folder containing the installer. navigate to the udata that should be zipped, drag and drop that into your save

Hi all, Am new to all this so please be gentle.
I couldn't find an action replay but I got hold of an xploder cable and mem card but I can't drag and drop the game saves (splinter cell) to the mem card.
I then d/loaded action replay and tried to d&d to that and it wouldn't let me do that either.
Am I doing something wrong or does this not work with an xploder mem card?

Make sure you dont unzip the UDATA files that you downloaded.

Thanks Azzidreign, I tried that but it didn't work on either the xploder software or the actionreplay software, in fact the action replay software doesn't seem to recognise my mem card

Sorry I couldn't be of help. Did you buy an action replay? Also...I've never used xploder...but does it come with a pc archive like AR does? If anything, find that archive and put the zipped UDATA files in it (in the appropriate game) and then see if the software will detect it.

I tried that and all it says is that it is not a valid games save file, it seems that it uses .gsx files?

Whaey!!! Thanks for the help Azzidreign, I got it sorted.
I had to uninstall the Xploders usb driver and install the AR one (same cable and card-just different drivers).
Now copied over and I can start to mod tomorrow, coz I've got to go to work now(hence the avatar:whatever: )

do u need to update because for some reason i open aplisations on my xbox and it doesnt inclued update option. and when i try and ftp the extras folder it says the folder doesnt exist can u help me ive benn trying for an hour.

for some reason FlashFXP wont transfer the xtras folder it says it doesnt exits i followed every single step in the tut and tried everything can you please help me ive bin working on this for close to three hours
