Replacing drive???

Hey guys. I have a dead drive (hitachi). I bought an identical drive from ebay. Got it, moved the board from the original drive into the new one. I put in in the xbox, and the drive wont even spin. The laser flashes like 3 times, then nothing happens. What the heck did I do?

does xbox 1 have dvd keys? im not sure: i dont know much about xbox 1 even though i have a modding one, never had to deal with the dvd drive. Might want to wait for some one with knowlage to answer.
BTW is yours modded? because if so you should be able to use any dvd drive

Geeze! Sorry bro. It's a xbox 360. Moving thread to the 360 support. I guess I didn't see it last time.
