Lines?=E74?

I have had my xbox 360 since last september in april it got red rings and i just bought a new power suply and it worked. in june it got the E74 error message and i sent it back to microsoft and they sent me a new xbox 360. now in september when ever i press the xbox button i see these white/black lines very clearly on the screen. I am wondering if it is a symptom for e74 and if there is anywayto fix it or if its normal which i don't think it is. P.S. you can see the lines if your screen is dark colored, Like a black loading screen or something.

This happend to me too. If you have an HDTV then change the display settings to 720p. Mine was originally set on 1080i and i started getting the same problem. When I switched the display to 720p then it went away and I havent had a problem since. Hope this helps and good luck!

Yes, lines are a sign of an upcoming E74 error. Unfortunately, I was too late to make any adjustments when I got the lines, and ended up getting E74. So be careful, TravTheSav's method might work.
