Hi, i've been trying this and when I get to the xbrowser screen i only see C and E on the Xbox HD, is this a problem?

Edit:
Ok, it worked even though Ndure installer hung on stage 2 for about 15mins!

Are you sure that it is unlocked? Try to swap the CD IDE cable and the HDD IDE cable before you boot it up. It happened to me once too.

Ok i have done this mod. It was working fine. I was able to use both MS dash and the UnleashX dash. I could FTP and did so a couple times. BUT i ****ed up! I accidently deleted some stuff while i was in the unleashx in the file explorer thing. When i was FTPing I copied everything from the drive to a folder on my desktop. So i have everything but i have no way of getting it onto my xbox. How can i FTP again? Cuz both the dashs dont work now and there are no options it just stays at the xbox logo. Anyone know how i can get my stuff back on the hard drive??

This is probably in the wrong thread, but just curious - how come you can't use a copied version of Splinter Cell, Mechassault or 007 when softmodding?

Cuz the xbox wont read burned games until its modded..

Haha.. you do know that you dont need those games to do this particular mod right? There are others that require one of those games but this one is alot cheaper im sure.. I havent done the other but i think this one is prolly easier from the looks.. Just my opinion tho.. Let me know how it works out for ya. I just recently did mine a few days ago and it was working great til i accidently deleted some stuff. I got it working but now only the unleashx dash works and not my MS dash.. I dont know how to get it back on.

There is even a cheaper way. You dont have to waste any money at all. No CD no nothing. I use this but I just hotswap the files over.

How do you get access to the hard drive after hot swapping it? I can get access to it through that disc i made with this mod, But i cant get access to it through my computer (windows XP) even when hot swapping. Is it supposed to give access on xp when hot swapped?

I do know that. I'd try the other way but I haven't the money or the patience to get a game and AR. The only thing I've ever done on my XBOX is play games, so I'm hoping I don't stuff it up. Either way I'll know in about 12 hours.

What are you using to reply right now? haha.. As long as you can make the cd and everything, you then dont need windows to do the install. You boot right from the disc and disconnect the computers hard drives.
