Even though it doesnt let you when you install. OPen file explorer and go to E:/ntds/default.xbe Then when it loads that funky menu, go to backup/restore, then backup eeprom. Your Eeprom will be in the E:/apps/evox folder.^_^ | ||||||

I have some PC skills, but I'm totally new to the Xbox scene (been on a modded PS2 for 5 years though). My buddy just gave me his failing Xbox (v1.0) with a Thomson drive, that will soon be replaced with a Samsung. Anyway, my end goal is to be able to load games onto the HDD and play from there. Sounds like the softmod will be the easiest and cheapest way to go. The unit was free, so why spend lots of $$$ on it? Anyway, I am going to try this softmod tut, maybe tomorrow, but I have a question first. I eventually want to get a bigger HDD in there, would it be easier to do it all at once, or does the Xbox need to be modded first before I c |
