well my box broke a while back and i fixed it using this tut but it waz on another site a month or two ago.....i unlocked my hdd wen my box waz softmodded...now wen i turn my box on it starts to load then this screen pops up saying ur xbox needs service and its error 07.. can i fix this anyway cuz i tried alot of different things & none of them worked...

I bought an xbox from my friend, and he deleted the Dashboard out of one. There is no dashboard whatsoever. Can anyone help me out there? I don't think hotswap will work. Also, I have error 16.

Ok so i am going to hotswap but i need to know what files to put onto my xbox? Do i need to like just format the hdd then start all over and put just the MS dash on there, because i dont care about any of the gamesaves? Help me out here.

To hotswap do you connect PC==>Xbox or Xbox==>PC. Which cable is going into what?

Ok Im hotswapping now, I have my xbox HD as the slave but my computers not detecting the drive. When I use Xplorer360, it says no FatX found.

Yo "R A V 4 g 3" you need the MS Dashboard files and You need to put the files in your C drive of your xbox hdd after formating it. I will go find the files for you.

Donkeytron will become famous soon enough
my computer is like 5 years old, a sony somethin or other. There are two harddrives inside it so i unhook one of the data cables. I can start my computer, but then when i attach the computer data cable to my xbox HD, the computer restarts and trys to boot off of the xbox HD and the computer wont start. What am I doing wrong or how do i fix this.

Well, it would appear as if this tutorial has become quite popular.

Somebody said that they saw this on another site? Could you please post the link to the site where you found it?

I also found a modified version of this tut on afterdawn.com. Bastard didn't even give me credit.
