Afew questions about softmodding

I believe this might be the wrong section for a thread like this so sorry if it is I didn't know where else to put it.

Anyways, I want to softmod my xbox using SID 4.0 I was wondering if it still works since it was written in 06 I thought it's best to check first incase there is like something better or an update to them.

I have had my xbox changed from PAL settings to NTSC with a file called Engima Videoswitch (Think thats what it is called anyway >.< ) which files would I need to download? Since my xbox was orgininally in PAL but is now in NTSC which should I get? :/

I have that on my xbox HD along with Linux installer and what I want to know is would I have to remove these in order to softmod my xbox without any problems?

AND I have the correct MS dash D:1.00.5960.01 showen in this picture but directly above that I have K:*numbers* what's that for? (unless it's on all xboxs and just isn't showen in that picture )

to answer the first question yes it still works fine and for the 3rd question it shouldnt matter if that is on ure hd
