How to hot swap without taking apart your xbox

Things you need.
-Halo 2
-Burnt Halo 2 Copy
-Paper Clip


1.First load up Halo 2. Sign In to live, and go sit in the pregame lobby.

2.Now get you a paper clip and fold it out. Try to get it as straight as possible.


3.Now stick the paper clip in this hole.


4. Now when you feel the paper clip hit somthing, push hard.The disc tray should pop out. Its not going to come out all the way so pull it the rest of the way out.

5.Now swap your regular Halo 2, for the burnt copy. Then before you push it in. You have to start off slow then when its almost in push hard. (The reason for this is so it will catch the drive and start spinning again.)

6. Now once you have it in there, start up a custom on an old map! But make sure you can load them. Keep going through all the old maps and you will get it to work. I promise this is how I mod old maps on live.

This method does work but you have to have a Samsung Hard drive.

i broke my emergency button doing this too many times, long ago, and now my disk drive can barely open at all, it simpler doing it this way, just dont push on that paper clip too hard, and make sure your paperclip is long enough

If the drive was made in 2005 then the drive will or should emergency eject easy, it shouldn't have troubles pop'in out.

And yes, a long paperclip helps, and being careful when doing it. (aka doing it properly)

My box was definately made before 05 and at the stopping point and just won't go any farther. its pretty hard to put any real amount of force on a thin eice of metal anyway.
