this guide will tell you how to:
get your xbox softmodded

Ok in this guide we will use the first splintercell (cant be platnuim edition)
ActionReplay
Install SID 4(action replay gamesave 454 blocks only one with that many)

ok step one installing the softmod!

first we will open up ActionReplay once you have opened this you will need to look for the Install SID 4 gamesave(it will be under Linux Installer which is under community saves) there are more then one of them so double click them all until you find the one that is 454 blocks that is the one that works.
click and drag it into your pc database.
then click and drag it onto your xbox memory card.
ok now we move onto step 2 actually installing the softmod onto your xbox !

Ok now turn on your xbox with out a disk in it and then hit memory (dont hit yourself you can remember this ) once you've done this copy the gamesave onto your xbox. now put in splintercell and once its loaded hit the A button 3 times and your xboxs light (the one on the button) will turn orange. dont worry its suposed to do that. now when it shows a screen there will be a couple of things that have the word backup at the end click on all of those and back everything up. IF YOU DONT DO THIS YOU COULD RUIN YOUR XBOX COMPLETELY!!!!! once you have done that hit "install softmod" now if you live in the USA you will need to click the one that says "NTSC" that is the one for USA xboxs. let it install itself and then it will tell you you need to reboot your xbox. take the disk out and then turn your xbox off and then back on. once it comes back on it will tell you some stuff and just keep hitting ok.

CONGRATS SOFTMOD INSTALLED!!!!!!!

it must b fun to make tutorials about softmodding cuz everyone is doing it...but anyway man its a nice post; but you might want sum pictures and some links and shiz..maybe im old fashioned but that would b a nice touch...especially cuz ur a novice here and youd lke to make a good first impression eh? But anyway i am not up on softmodding but is there more then one installer other than SID? Cuz if there is wut one are u using? (yah i may of skipped it if you said so on ur post thingy)

But anyway dude, thx for the post; i am sure sumone will find it useful.
