Only want to mod halo2 maps?

If you only want to mod halo 2 NEW maps, theres a simplier way then softmodding your xbox. First, get a linux save onto your xbox via Action replay, so your in the linux file. You dont need to Install softmod in order to mod in halo2 maps, because in the linux place you can ftp from there. I made the mistake of realizing that i can FTP from linux, and i have a almost half screwed up xbox. Hope this helps anyone. OH AND BY THE WAY- I DO NOT know if you have to create a backup of ms dash when in the linux, or backup eeprom or anything, i did but i had some complications, and combatburt helped me a TON. ( TY MUCH combatburt ) Im just saying you dont need to softmod your xbox to Mod in halo2, just have to have a linux files save. :laughing:
