No. You dont. It doesnt matter. You can set it to dual boot the the xbl dash and make one if you ever need it.

Evolution X isn't an installer. I've used Krayzie's since 05 and i find it the best out of all the others INO. As for the dashboard, just try both and see what you like. I use evox but apparently other people like Unleashed better.

i tried doing the EEPROM back up but all i get is a black screen and i waited like 3 hours so far and nothing happens I'm using the 007 auf version even tried the starting the game 2

Okay, so here goes. I recently softmodded my xbox using the method shown here, and Ndure 1.1.1 now I need to get xbmc and other apps over to the xbox, but am experiencing extreme problems. My xbox will not set itself an ip I have set to DHCP and rebooted and such. I even tried static a few times too just for kicks. I am over 300 feet from my wired router, maybe this is the problem? Although the net works fine through the same cord on my pc. I have also tried a home made crossover cable (which may not be made correctly, I'm re-looking into this) and experienced the same problem. I also tried plugging to the router and clicking update under my unleashX dash. It gave me a http error. I have tried burning my files to blank media (cd-r, dvd+r, dvd-r) and the xbox will only read certain files off the disc i.e. avi files. Which does me no good, because I can't get xbmc over to the xbox. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks so much for your time and help, I know you prolly get tired of these noob questions.

How are you trying to FTP to your xbox? Are you using a router or direct connection to your comp?

It may have to do with your ftp program. Are u using the correct xbox ip address etc. what program too?

ok i have herd a lot of stuff about you cant install it if you have platinum hits(splinter cell thats what i got)is this true i got the game but wating for AR to show up so here are some questions. will it work with platinum hits, if i install it anyways will it screw my xbox up , why wont it work , and lastly am i fu*king screwed cuz i got platinum hits!!!!

platinum hits don't work you need the original (MA,007)

(but i here that the platinum works for SC only try it out)
