Auto-Installer Deluxe 2.11) is a great disc to have and I suggest every beginner to download and use this.

How to burn AID 2.11 to a disc
Step 1 - Extract the file after you download it. You will need WINRAR to do this.
Step 2 - After extracting, you will need to extract any of the zipped files that show up.
Step 3 - After extraction, you should see the AID 2.11 Final.iso. This is what you will be putting to disc.
Step 4 - To burn this to a cd/dvd, you will need to get DVD Decrypter. If you have DVD D then you should be able to double click the iso file and DVD D should come up. If it doesnt, you must open DVD D up and go to the top and select MODE at the top and scroll down to ISO and then to the right where it says WRITE. Near the top it should have a folder with a magnifying glass over it, click it and select the iso (you might have to go to where the folder is for those who don't know how to select a file). Note, if you are burning this to a dvd, you might have to put a DUMMY FILE on the .iso (a dummy file is basically to take up space on a disc since some players cannot read info on a dvd if there is very little space on the disc. The dummy file will make the disc seem larger, enabling the dvd-drive to recognize the information on the disc). To add the dummy file to disc, you will have to read the manual that comes w/ the torrent download (you have to use DJB's program that will add it to the iso...I will update this when I review the file again). To make sure you are doing the proper steps, here are 2 pictures that should help you get on the correct path.
Step 5 - Place your dvd into your dvd drive. When you do this and it reads your media, then you will see the icon of the hdd pointing to the dvd light up. Press that and it should start burning.
Notice how the icon lit up.
Step 6 - After burning, I would suggest putting this disc by your xbox so it does not get misplaced. You may also want to label it AID 2.11 Final.
Softmodding your Xbox with AID
Step 1 Copy your SID file(s) (the files provided in our softmod section) to your memory card from your computer using Action Replay's program. (open the folder w/ your sid files, drag and drop into the memory card side!)
Step 2 - Transfer the "gamesave" files (the SID files you just put on your memory card) to your Xbox. Go to the "Memory" screen from the main standard MS Dashboard. When you get into the memory menu, click on the memory card (prolly by pressing left). When you get into your memory card and find the file, you might have to press the right button on your d-pad to select the file and then choose copy.
Step 3 - Insert the game and power up your XBox console. From the main menu choose "Start Game" or "Load game" (depending on the game) and then highlight "Linux". Press A 2 times (you should see no check points but press A anyways until you get to a blue screen) to run the installer.
Step 4 - Once the SoftMod Installer has booted up, I would HIGHLY recommend making a backup of your C Drive. Use the "Create MS Backup" option to backup your C drive.
Step 5 - Select "Install Softmod" and install. Please note that the install deletes the MS Dash from your C Drive, which is why we backed it up.
Step 6 - Turn your Xbox off. Press the eject button to turn it back on, take out SC and put in your AID 2.11 disc and turn it back off.
Step 7 - You should get a menu with some weird tecno music. If you don't...reboot and if that doesnt work I dont know what you are doing and you might be doing something wrong or the xbox is not reading your dvd. Go to the Softmod Section. Choose Install Softmod and then select Install Nkpatcher + Ms Dash. You will want to choose Boot C:\evoxdash.xbe.
Step 8 - Now, go all the way to the main screen by pressing B however many times it takes. Go back into Softmod Section. From there, choose Install Dashboards. I would recommend Evox, but other good ones are Avalaunch and UnleashX.
Step 9 - Now you can go back to the main screen and choose to install any apps you wish. I would recommend choosing DVD2XBOX and XboxMediaCenter(xbmc) and I think that dvd doggle free is under dvdd or something. I dont remember. You can also decide to choose the emulators you would like. They are all pretty much updated from what it looks like...maybe the surrealxxx is not, so I put my own beta4 on there after choosing to install all emulators.
Step 10 - It might be a good time to create a mod backup. I dont know how to do this with AID, so I put my game back in and loaded up LINUX again and chose Make Mod Backup.
Step 10 - Congrats and enjoy. If you do not have the Auto-Update from halo 2 yet, you will have to have someone send you the updated (DEFAULT.XBE) in order to play on live again. If you have that option come up when you try to play halo 2, and you choose to install it, you will get a call cust service error. You don't need to worry...it is because you do not have the original bios.
NOTE: This will not allow you to get passed the AU ban for playing modded H2 maps.
