| Simple LED in memory card Well is my first "custom" mod with my xbox, I have followed plenty of tutorials on doing stuff and I havnt seen this done before. So I figured I write a small tutorial. Finished product: 2. Next you are going to want to make a small hole just big enough to put the tip of the led into on you memory card, It dosnt really matter where. Mine is on the top front.![]() Things needed: *Phillips screwdriver *3mm LED (any color) *Something that can cut through plastic (I used my pocket knife) *Soldering iron *Solder *Hot glue gun 1. First off you ar going to want to open your memory unity by unscrewing the two screws on the back. ![]() 3. Now apply some hot glue on the inside to keep the led from falling out or moving around. 4. Ok the wiring is very simple, just solder a small peice of wire from one pin to the ground and solder another peice of wore from the other pin to the +5v. ![]() Pic taken from joemon's mem unit mod. ![]() ![]() All thats left is to reasemble it and test it out. Here Is another pic of the final product. ![]() Written by:sc4r3cr0w

Instead of drilling a hole in the top, i peeled off the rubber thing that says 8mb, and then i took a hair dryer too the back of it and peeled off the silver sticker, so now the 8mb thing is see through, then i just drilled a hole under the rubber thing, now i just need a small led and some wire. nice tut. | ||||||
