Halo 2 Mutiplayer on the HDD

Below I have listed a few tutorials on how to put Halo 2 on you hdd.
From those with the stock hdd to a bigger one, and at least one method will work for your dashboard.

Method One:

This method will require the least amount of space, and only includes mutiplayer.

1. Create a folder called "Halo2" in F->Games.
(If there is no folder called "Games" on the F drive create one)

2. Copy default.xbe from D to F->Games->Halo2

3. Copy the entire "media" folder from D->Media to F->Games->Halo2.

4. Copy the entire "font" folder from D->Maps->Font to F->Games->Halo2->Maps.

5. Create a folder called "bink" in F->Games->Halo2

4. Copy the these files listed below from D->Maps to F->Games->Halo2->Maps:

ascension.map
beavercreek.map
burial_mounds.map
coagulation.map
colossus.map
cyclotron.map
foundation.map
headlong.map
lockout.map
mainmenu.map
midship.map
shared.map
waterworks.map
zanzibar.map

(the rest of them are all mutiplayer maps, without those you can cut the size drastically)

After that just restart your xbox, and it should show up in your games list.

And your done.

Method 2:

This method is for you who have more space, and uses Unleashx as a dashboard.
This method will give you the entire game.

1. Insert the disc

2. Go to Settings->Misc->Copy Game Disc.

3. After you copied it restart your xbox and you should be done.

Method 3:

This method is for non-unleashx users who would like the entire game.

1. In the file manager create a folder name "Halo2" in the "games" folder.
F->Games or G->Games

2. Switch to the D drive and select everything (press black and click "select everything").

3. Say copy (press black and click "copy").

4. After it finishes copying you can restart your xbox and your done.

Tips:
You can delete the contents of the "bink" folder to save space. The files in here are the start up videos when you play Halo, and are not needed.

thats a great thread by Sik Gambler that describes 2 methods and you can even get help if you get stuck, There are also MANY more. I recall one by Nightcast even

don't you mean the rest of them are all campaign maps?

Yeah, the campaign maps take up a lot of space, which modders normally don't need.
