Illegal and legal Content

I may be new to this forum but i do know alot about Illegal stuff. and after reading the post for Bhurt nine .maps well i have to say you guys that say its illegal it is not.
Let me explain:
1) When you purchase or download any and all content it was and will always be for sharing with others. no matter what the copy right is.
2) all copy righted material is for personal uses only. if they didnt want you having it they wouldn't let you download it.
3) If you or someone else posts the maps online it is not illegal. because it was specifically made for one sole purpose your own personal use, but for validation of that fact, if someone else wants the map but they can get it that does not make it illegal no matter who says it is. It was made for us not just one person.
4) Final: Its not illegal to download or upload the maps to a server for others, but what is illegal is the modification of the copyrighted material.

actually it is illegal to post .map files, bungie said so themselve....but ur right it is illegal to mod the maps, not sure if its illegal to post modded .map files tho, but playing them on live is illegal, but let me ask u this...um who cares? this is a cheating website, we all are criminals for just being modders,

i agree with u trust me, i think we should avoid posting the modded. map files, but if we can why not? one of thebiggest reasons is its to big, thats why we use pf, nice and small

Hmmmm...what was the point again? Like r3v said, it IS actually illegal to post the new maps, as they are also being sold for commercial use, which makes them succeptable to copyright infringement laws. They are for personal use, and any unauthorized duplication/distribution of said files is resultingly illegal. Not like it fuxing matters. If the feds ever siezed my ****, I'd be fuxored for a while. If it's bootlegged, I've prolly got it.

Wow, between madcow and the human DJ, we're getting an earful here. See, the cracks aren't really an issue because we're not hosting anything. We don't have the files. They're on somebody else's servers. The modding and stuff is things that we are actually a part of. Hence, a bit more risk.

No, I bet there would be some stiff fineage if any of us ever had our equipment searched...it's not necessicarily about sales sometimes, but just in how much **** you've actually got too.
