Restore default.xba - Error 13

Hi All,
I unfortunately deleted the default.xba file in my xbox (v.1) in order to launch the xbmc as the default "dashboard".
Now when I turn on my xbox I receive the ERROR 13 message. I bought my xbox from a dude that wasn't able to tell me anything about the mod he payed for,so now I just now that my xbox has been modded few years ago.
I tried to solve the problem by using the software "Auto Install Deluxe" and "Frosty" but my xbox doesn't load anything from the dvd-rw I used.
I'm sure I would be easily able to solve my problem by accessing via FTP to the XBOX C Drive but I have no idea how to do it now.
Before I wrongly deleted the evolution default.xba file,I used flashxp with
user: xbox
pass: xbox
but now it doesn't work at all.
Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance.
D.

Re: Restore default.xba - Error 13

Edit: Wait you tried to FTP while in the error code?
I think you should rename your default.xba to default.xbe and try it then.

I'm sure it would work..the problem is that I'm not more able to FTP..or at least by using flashfxp with user: xbox pass: xbox... Do you have any idea about how to ftp to the xbox again?
thanks a lot

Well basically im assuming you have a softmod, which is a bad thing. You can only ftp while in evox/ava/xbmc because they have an ftp server. Since you erased this dashboard you can try one of two things.
First: Burn a slayers or whatever type of install disc and turn on the xbox running that disc. If you see the launcher you can ftp from that.
If that doesnt work, you will have to hotswap a new dashboard into your xbox hdd. You should look up a guide on that because it can be complicated (and could burn your hdd)

So it seems..actually I've just renamed "default.xbe" in "default_old.xbe" without replace the renamed one with a new "default.xbe" ..anyway I'm no more able to ftp

I tried to use a DVD-RW ...maybe it's not the right "media" but it does'nt work. My xbox seems not able to load Auto Installer Deluxe,Frosty's,Slayers.. Do you suggest to use a specific software to burn the iso file a specific procedure?
What about buying a Splinter Cell disk? It could be a possible solution?

I have considered this solution and looked up a guide. It does'nt seem so impossible, but maybe it could be better to call a "technician"..
Thanks again
