PS1 EMULATOR?

I looked and looked and I found that PSX thing and put it on my box. I went to load it from my hard drive and this weird 1300's theme thing came up with weird RuneScape-like music. I thought it was supposed to play PlayStation1 games...

I put in my Driver2 disc to play it and nothing happened....
what did i do wrong?

woah. ok. first off, delete whatever it is u downloaded off ur HDD. Then go here: http://worldofstuart.excellentconten...s/xbox/psx.zip , and download the psx emulator. It's called pcsxbox. After u put it onto ur HDD (i'll assume u know how to do that. if u have questions, please ask) , ull need the bios for it. u can can google them and get a download fairly easily. look for "scph1001.bin". after u download that, put it in pcsxbox's bios folder. then, simply download ur psx games and put them in the appropriate folder to play. If u have any questions, please ask, and if i have helped u, feel free to hit the button.

Am I doing something wrong? I have my box modded. I've installed many Emulators with no problem. For some reason, my PSX emulator will only read .bin files. If I load an ISO, I get to see the first screen of when the game boots up, then the entire box crashes. PLEASE HELP!

.bin is my file of choice, but sometimes some formats just don't work. for certain games. on top of that you might wanna try running the games that don't work in HLE mode or something.

I know it was a major bump. I just didn't think it was worth it to create a new thread just for that. My bad. I guess I'll have to convert the .iso's to .bin. Thanks.

I know the images aren't bad. I run all my roms/isos on my laptop first and have no problems with them. The xbox completely freezes when I try to run isos on an emulator, .bin works just fine though.

I've even tried using MagicISO to convert the .iso files to .bin but my pcsxbox 1.5 still won't play them. Is there anything I can do for this? The only 2 games I have in .iso are my favorite games ever. This bites.

you're sure the games are fully working on the emulator you're using right? check your emulator's compatibility lists.

I've found a compatibility list for the emulator for the PC, but not for it's XBOX version. Would the list be the same?
