| BANNED | Updating XBMC More To Come (easy method) Upgrading XBMC with the T3CH builds released weekly. First of all I am only going to give instructions for upgrading for those who already have or would like to have XBMC as their main dashboard. I do not and will not ever explain how to use XBMC as an Application. XBMC is a combination of everything you could ever want in a dashboard and way more! So running it as an application is a waist of time. Alright this is not really a simple process so please read carefully. 1) First and foremost you should be aware of your Xbox’s folder layout and where everything is or you will be lost. If you have problems with this please look at the pictures below before you start posting about issues. 2) There are several ways for this process I will explain easiest to hardest of the processes available. You can choose what method you want to use. 3) The simplest method is to get the Auto Installer Deluxe Disc v3.0 which you can download from here: http://www.mininova.org/tor/214507 and you can grab the update pack from here: http://www.mininova.org/tor/332941 you will need the update pack considering it is the only way to get the newer version of XBMC with this method. 4) Once you have downloaded the update pack and the ISO for AID you will need to edit a few things. Please See Below. Here is also a Video Tutorial: HERE The first step is to unrar the archive that you have downloaded; to do this you will need a program such as 7-Zip or WinRAR to do so. DO NOT try and burn the RAR file on to a CD / DVD as it will not work. This is a screenshot of all the files you should have (please note that this screenshot will be a little different as the final release will have more rar files). To extract the archive, right-click on the xbhqaid3.rar file, and use your program of choice (whether it be 7-Zip or WinRar) to extract the archive. When it’s extracted, you will see a folder called Auto.Installer.Deluxe.v3.0.Xbox-Hq. A screenshot below shows the contents of the archive. Using the AID 3.0 ISO Updater Program Now, before you burn the ISO you may want to add some additional extras to Auto-Installer Deluxe 3, like for example a translation pack or a dummy file pack (which will basically insert either a 100mb or 1gb dummy file at the start of the ISO). You can find the ISO updater Program in the Tools folder of the archive you extracted. This is the first screen you will see on the update tool. Your first job is to select the Auto-Installer Deluxe 3 ISO file (highlighted green in the screenshot to the left.) After selecting the ISO you need to select the update file (highlighted green in the top section of the screenshot to the right)You will see down at the bottom of the status screen the files that have been loaded. You can clear the selected updates using the "Clear filelist" button highlighted in blue. Once you are done selecting the updates, click on the Save ISO button highlighted in red. After you select the location and filename of the ISO it will start working away. Once the new image has been made you will see this popup window (shown on the right). This confirms that the ISO has been created and is now ready for burning. ![]() Please note that this program DOES work for Auto-Installer Deluxe v3.0 and the add-on packs it supports. The AID 3.0 Addon / Update Packs In the package is included a selection of addon packs. The way they are listed is the order that you should load them into your ISO. This page will explain what their purposes are. AID3.Dummyfile.xxx: This adds a 1 GB Dummy file to your ISO image (recommended for DVD users only). The Dummy file is the first file put in the ISO and creates a gap from the start of the disc, making it easier for your Xbox DVD Laser to read the disc. AID3.Addon.BIOS.Pack.v1.00: This addon pack adds a BIOS flashing feature to AID, using the EvoX interface for flashing. This is only recommended for advanced users that know what they are doing, as incorrect use of the BIOS flashing features can damage your TSOP / Modchip. AID3.Addon.DHCP.Patch.v1.00: This addon fixes up the network settings to DHCP. Please note if you did not install the BIOS Pack that you will not be able to use it, even though it is displayed in the menu. It will even patch softmod installs. AID3.Addon.Soundtrack.AIDx: This addon pack will include some background music whilst you are using the AID 3 installer. Soundtrack.AID2 is the soundtrack from the previous installer. AID3.Addon.XBMC.Scripts.v1.00: This addon pack includes all the extra scripts for Xbox Media Center. This was done so that they weren’t forced installed with the program, as they can take a while to install. AID3.SkinPack.AnodX.v1.00: This addon pack includes more skins for the AnodX dashboard. The default skin is not included in this pack. AID3.SkinPack.Avalaunch.v1.00: This addon pack includes more skins for the AvaLaunch dashboard. The default skin is not included in this pack. AID3.SkinPack.EvoX.v1.00: This addon pack includes more skins for the EvolutionX dashboard. The default skin is not included in this pack. AID3.SkinPack.UnleashX.v1.00: This addon pack includes more skins for the UnleashX dashboard. The default skin is not included in this pack. AID3.SkinPack.XBMC.v1.00: This addon pack includes more skins for Xbox Media Center. The default skin is not included in this pack. AID 3.03 Update: Now to the Next part of making the ISO which is adding the update pack. Video Tutorial: HERE Here's the new v3.03 update pack for the Auto-Installer Deluxe v3.0 System. Apart from collecting new software for this update (which includes the new MC360 skin), I have also made some modifications to the installer. I have now included a one-click install system for the SID 4.5 Softmod (currently only Singleboot like SID 3.1 is set, but will work on the Dualboot Ndure for the next version), and there is confirmation of when an operation has completed, unlike before where it would just go back to the menu. PLEASE NOTE!! This update pack includes everything from the previous v3.01 update, so v3.01 is no longer required. It is advised that you use a CLEAN Auto-Installer Deluxe v3.0 ISO to integrate the 3.02 update pack, rather than installing the 3.01 update packs and then installing the 3.02 packs. Software Updates * Dvd2Xbox 0.7.6 * FBA-XXX 2006-05-28 * FBA-XXX Pro 1.17 * MAMEoX128 Plus 2006-04-12 * MednafenX-NES 8 * WinUAEX 15 * Xbox Media Center 2006-06-06 * Xmac 0.2 * Xthom 0.3 * Xzx81 0.2 * Updated Mikerowesoft's Trainer pack to 2006-05-20 New Updated Addon Packs: * BIOS Addon Pack v1.02 * DHCP Addon Pack v1.02 * XBMC Skinpack v1.02 (Including the brand new MC360 Skin from Blackbolt). Installation Notes Use the AID 3 ISO Updater to integrate the Update Packs. When creating your AID ISO make sure that you use the older packs before new ones. To keep you up to date, here's the files you need to build the latest AID ISO. Please take note of the order that the files are put in: Auto-Installer Deluxe v3.0.iso (3.0 ISO) AID3.Addon.Soundtrack.AID2.rar (3.0 Optional Files) AID3.Addon.Soundtrack.AID3.rar AID3.Dummyfile.100mb.rar AID3.Dummyfile.1gb.rar AID3.Dummyfile.500mb.rar AID3.SkinPack.AnodX.v1.00.rar (3.0 Addon Files) AID3.SkinPack.Avalaunch.v1.00.rar AID3.SkinPack.EvoX.v1.00.rar AID3.UpdatePack.v3.02.rar (3.02 Addon Files) AID3.Addon.BIOS.Pack.v1.02.rar AID3.Addon.DHCP.Patch.v1.02.rar AID3.Addon.XBMC.Scripts.v1.01.rar AID3.SkinPack.XBMC.v1.02.rar AID3.SkinPack.UnleashX.v1.01.rar I will release the next process very soon but for now lets see what comes of this.
