wow, i turned on the xbox and the 3 red lights come on. The fan doesnt spin nore does it even heat up. What did i do wrong?

screws are too tight or the board is fried for good.

Thanks a ton. I'll have to come back to this once my warranty expires =P. in 3 years lol

If i were to do all that I would probly put some LED's in there and maybe a case mod. That's if I don't break it lol.

phew thanks scar. For a secon i thought my xbox was fried. Now im just letting it heat up ill get back to you guys with an answer on how it went.

scar awsome tut.... however i cook cpu about 3 mins let it go to 2 red lights.. then let cool don till its cold switch back still 3 red lights ... is it still the heat sinks or a complete other problem...

Theres no real way to tell... but 3 mins is pretty fast for it to overheat... so it may still be the chips i dunno

I had the same problem just loosein the screws or tighten until it works.

ok placed fan over gpu to make heat sink cook for 10 mins.....


then placed xbox in fridge over night ....

then it worked for a bit ...... placed back in the fridge.,... left it 1 hour.... work perfect now...... even purrrs like a kitten your tut is fantastic....

It worked for me, thanks. But a curious thing happened...after I cut it back on still had the three ring but I let stay on for about five minutes and it booted up and worked fine but with three ring, cut it off and back on...same thing. I went on Live and updated and three ring went away. Been working just fine.

THE GPU AND CPU CHIPS R SOLDERED ON RIGHT? AND ITS CAUSED BECAUSE HEAT MAKES THE SOLDER COME OFF AND THE THE CHIPS BCOME LOOSE. SO CANT YOU PUSH THE CHIPS DOWN AND SOLDER IT AGAIN?
