[tut with pics] How to make Xplorer 360 work on Windows Vista

Problem: Some of you have a problem like this:
When you try to open your X360 Hard Drive with Xplorer 360, You get message:
Could Not Find a FATAX Drive To Open!



Solution:

1. Right-Click the XPLORER 360 icon on your desktop.

2. Select: "Run as Admisintator".




3. You get message like:
"Are you sure you want to let xplorer360.exe run on this pc?"

4. Hit the "Allow" -button
And you are done!



And now you have working modding solution for Windows Vista!

ou, its very easy: just hit the "prt scr" button and then open ur Microsoft Paint and select "paste".. and there is ur whole Screenshot.. u'll find ur prt scr button top of the delete button (i hav european keyboard).

Well, I know about the "PrtSc" buton but it never includes my mouse cursor or The Menu, Thanks tho.

Sorry if this is a bit noobish but how exactly do you connect your XB360's HDD to your computer?

You buy 1 of 2 devices, Either XSATA or XPORT you can find them online or at most EB GAMES stores.

or u can just open ur hdd and connect it via sata cables to pc, but i use the XSATA

Right but that Voids warranty and if your PC doesnt support SATA cabls you have to go out and buy a Cable that Converts from IDE(?) to SATA. by the time you do that you will have spent the money for the XSATA / XPORT and voided warranty.

i know that, i just told its 1opton with XSATA and XPORT, i didnt say its the best1

lol, i know. I was just letting him know that if his PC wasn't SATA compatible he might not want to go that route. But if it is SATA Compatible and he doesnt Need the Warranty (and I dont think any body really needs the Warrenty for it, LOL) That would Definately be Cheaper.

1. Right-Click Xplorer 360 Icon and select Properties





2. Select Compatibility tab




3. Hit "Run this program as admisintrator" thing




4 Hit ok to save. and your done. next time just open program as others and it will find your hard drive.

o yea and if u waqnt to mod your xbox 360 do i have to have a mod chip in it or can i just have it softmodded by downloading stuff such as aio v2 and dothalo and sppf and ppf and map resigner so i can customize weapons and run fast nand jump high

Make sure that you have the HDD plugged in all the way (I push down on the front pretty hard)

ALSO: If Xplorer 360 stops working (when you try to connect to the harddrive, it just sits there) then you just gotta turn the computer off, then back on (I don't know if hitting restart will fix it or not)

lol...it's kinda sad people couldn't figure this out. But oh well, you can't always know what to do all the time!
